The Catalan Society of Chemistry, as a subsidiary scientific society of the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC), aims to promote everything related to the cultivation of the chemical sciences.

Due to its scientific nature, a large part of our members are researchers working actively in the field of chemistry in our country. Training is another of our priorities and many of our members are related to the world of education, both university and secondary education. The professionals of the chemical industry are also present in our society, as well as all those people interested in this scientific discipline.

Our members enjoy the benefits of also being members of EuchemS, an association that brings together the most important European chemical societies. Our members also enjoy the additional benefits of being subscribed to the EduQ journal, and having access to the Catalan Society of Chemistry Journal in its electronic version. They receive information on events related to the field of chemistry and can participate actively in all the activities that are organized by the Catalan Society of Chemistry (courses, workshops, debates, conferences, etc.).

The registration fee of the Catalan Society of Chemistry is 40 euros per year for ordinary members and 20 euros per year for students. To become a member of the SCQ, all you have to do is fill in the registration application form and send the debit authorization for the fee to:
